Winter Work on the Boardwalk
It's not hard to keep busy in Ocean City, Maryland, during the winter months. For example, town workers have been repairing the boardwalk at several points, and even rebuilding short stretches. (While work is in progress, a plywood lane is open for pedestrians to get by.)
I think most of the Boardwalk repairs are just about finished. The big photo at top shows the new boards on a wide stretch of the Boardwalk.
Then we have three photos taken during the winter, while work was in progress. These give you a look at the supporting structure under the top level of boards. With all those wood beams and concrete, the Boardwalk is plenty sturdy, strong enough to hold a firetruck, I understand.
