The surf on the beach at Ocean City, Maryland, was just right, and these swimmers did not appear to be concerned about the cold ocean water.
"Be Prepared" is a good motto, so I was happy to see this Ocean City emergency vehicle standing by, just in case.
Given the worldwide economic situation on this first day of 2009, "Be Prepared" would be a good rule to follow this year. Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.
