The Dumser's Ice Cream Factory near the Inlet proves that modern commercial buildings can be esthetically pleasing. Dumser's has many locations in Ocean City, Maryland. This one is on Philadelphia Avenue between Wicomico and Worcester Streets. It looks to me like a classic modern design that will stand the test of time.
